Sally, for what it's worth, most scars look worse to the person who has them than they do to other people. I'm sure you look fine. You are right that women compromise their well being to try and conform to arbitrary standards of beauty. We have not come a long way when our daughters are still as obsessed with beauty as we were, and maybe even more so than we were. These are standards that no-one could achieve. Personally, I find more admiration for a woman who looks real and natural at whatever weight or age than one who has tons of plastic surgery.

Maybe someone can articulate why better than I can, but I find the fact that this money is going towards Casey Anthony's legal defense really galling. I guess they can spend it any way they want but why is ABC News paying them anything? I guess everything really is for sale. It doesn't surprise me, it just rubs me the wrong way.

It's official: Poseur Jesse James is a big dumb idiot

People like Jesse James "think" with their little head and then wonder why they can't stay in a relationship. Maybe this model is "hotter" than Sandra Bullock, but it actually wouldn't matter if Sandra was the Goddess Aphrodite at this point. What Jesse was thinking about was the thrill of the moment.

I certainly don't think he's all that he seems to think he is, and Sandra could surely do better. Unfortunately for her, it seems she gave him her best and he just gave her the shaft. I cannot muster any respect for him.
